How do you know the acid..?   Hyaluronic acid.

What comes to mind when you read the word – acid? and farther or the second word – “hyaluronic” is combined with the first, still acidic?

If you feel like this, be sure to read on.

What exactly is hyaluronic acid and how does it work?

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a compound naturally found in the human body. Its largest amounts are found in connective tissue, epithelium, as well as neural tissue. It is characterized by high capacity to bind water molecules, and with “acid”, (known to us with lemon..) It only connects to the chemical structure.

Hyaluronic acid is responsible: For hydration, with age its quantity is reduced and wanes collagen fibres. Systematically replenishing the deficiency can delay the aging process, smooth out wrinkles and dramatically improve skin hydration levels.

Types and uses of hyaluronic acid

Pure Hyaluronic acid is obtained by microbial production. In the market there are various preparations of hyaluronic acid selected according to the treated site. Hyaluronic acid is a form of crosslinked and non-crosslinked. Medical preparations with the content of crosslinked hyaluronic acid are used for filling. It is given deeper and lasts longer in the skin. Non-crosslinked

Non-crosslinked Hyaluronic Acid is used in aesthetic medicine and cosmetics to:

• moisturize,
• regenerate,
• improve skin density,
• in the form of Mesotherapy.
In aesthetic medicine crosslinked HA acid is used as a filler that modifies the shape and restores the skin to a healthy appearance.

Hyaluronic acid is used successfully in treatments:

• smoothing wrinkles,
• filling of scars,
• filling the furrows,
• modifying the shape of the face,
• giving it the desired oval,
• enlarging the lips,
• shaping the cheekbones,
• Correcting the so-called “Tears through”,
• nose augumentation
• with many other treatments

Hyaluronic acid is also a preparation for volumetric treatments.

Hyaluronic acid is also a preparation for volumetric treatments. The Idea of volumetric treatments is such a use of filler to get “volume”-the volume where in young people it is natural. It allows you to quickly get a younger look by smoothing out wrinkles and furrows, rebuilding the lost volume of facial tissue, giving shape and improving the contour of the mandible.

When can you see the effects of the treatment? How many treatments do you need?

For the general treatment of rejuvenating-mesotherapy with non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid, effects are visible after the treatment is completed and the epidermis is healed, ie. to the week. The treatment is recommended to perform 3-5 sessions in weekly intervals. Otherwise, the issue after the procedure of filling with the use of crosslinked hyaluronic acid. In this case the effect is instantaneous, which allows to assess the results even during the meeting at the clinic. And these are some of the most satisfying moments in my work ?

How long are the effects of treatments last? Are they permanent?

The length of the persistence of hyaluronic acid in the skin varies depending on the place of administration and the density. The time span is 6 to 18 months. The results are volatile because hyaluronic acid is gradually absorbed into the body, which causes treatments with its use to be repeated.

Do you have effects on the durability of filler effects? Because hyaluronic acid is a “source” for your skin, you can significantly delay its drying time. How? Drinking water! Regularly moistened skin (2l of water per day) will not need to look for another source, and therefore the collection of water from the filler acid is tightly stretched ?

At what age can you use the HA acid? Who is this acid for?

At all ages you can use the HA acid, however, the specialist depends on the option of its use. If you are dealing with a professional, then you will find out if in your case there are medical indications for the procedure of filling. In this case you can be sure that the treatment will be safe and satisfactory effects.

Before the treatment is carried out, the contraindications should be excluded:

• pregnancy and lactation,
• active herpes virus HPV
• infection of the body (antibiotic treatment)
• tendency to keloids,
• rarely allergic to preparation,
• skin problems within planned procedure,
• during laser treatment for the skin,
• autoimmune diseases

Because the procedure is performed by injection, we must also be prepared for side effects: discomfort during the procedure and immediately after treatment may appear redness, bruising and slight swelling, symptoms disappear after a few days.

Unfortunately, there are also a lot more serious complications, such as cases of skin necrosis, the movement of filler, abscess or granuloma. These situations are rare and usually result from mistakes made by the person performing the treatment.

Along with the huge success of procedures with Hyaluronic acid, the number of filler manufacturers has also increased, not always certifying their products. This situation in turn attracted a lot of “pseudo specialists” who offer treatments at very great prices. So remember – aesthetic medicine is a zone where you can definitely lose more if you want to save. Treatment of complications after poorly executed procedures is a very expensive matter.

Make informed decisions and enjoy the effects without risking ?

Zanim zostanie przeprowadzony zabieg, należy wykluczyć przeciwwskazania:

  • Infekcja organizmu (leczenie antybiotykami)
  • Skłonność do bliznowców,
  • Rzadko uczulenie na preparat,
  • Problemy skórne w obrębie planowanej procedury,
